Teeny Tiny Twin Girls...

We are in love with twin baby girls!! Lauren and Allison came in for their very first photo shoot at 2 weeks old. Soooooo teeny tiny and sleepy! Nothing is better than being able to fit not one, but TWO babies in a basket for a photo. Congratulations guys on two beautiful daughters.

 

 

 

Baby Chloe

Last year we were so excited to be able to photograph Shana & Jordan's wedding.  This year just after Christmas, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl to their family. At only 10 days old Chloe just couldn't be cuter! She's got a full head of hair and daddy's good looks.  Congratulations guys on such a wonderful baby girl!!

Matthew

The last senior that we photographed in 2009 was Matthew!  We photographed his older sister Marissa a couple of years ago and it was nice to have his family back in the studio.  We did some in studio shots and then took him to the dancing fountains in The Woodlands on the riverwalk.  It was cold and I think we might have frozen him a little bit but the photos look great!

Incredible Holiday

What an incredible holiday!  It is so nice to occasionally take time off (from a job we truly love) and go on vacation!  We spent a full week at Disney World (THE happiest place on earth) with our parents and grandpa.  It really doesn't matter how many times you've been there... it's always magical and amazing.  I think we rode Pirates of the Caribbean and The Haunted Mansion Ride at least 6 times, saw some great parades and the BEST fireworks!  

Christmas after Disney was a whirlwind of parties, family, celebrating and then before we knew what happened... it was the new year.  Why can't Christmas last a little longer!?!  It seems like the decorations just went up and now it's time to pack it all away for another year.  We hope you all had wonderful holiday experiences.  

Searching for Everyday Kids to Model for Us!

 
It's a new year and we want to start the year off with a bang!  We've got lots of new ideas to test out so that we can start the year off right with a fresh start.  

We are looking for everyday kiddos for this very special project.  All you have to do is set up an appointment with us at the studio for a consultation so that we can meet you and decide which of our ideas with be perfect for your child.  We will call you back for a FREE session to try out our new sets, etc...  All you have to do is be a willing volunteer.  

We want to get started ASAP.  We will be booking consultations and accepting volunteers for this project until January 30th.  We have a limited number of 20 slots so call before they are all gone.

Ryan- 6 months

Sometimes photo shoots are more than just photos.  We adore having Ryan and his parents Justin & Jill in the studio.  Not only do we thoroughly enjoy taking photos of such an adorable baby, we LOVE getting to talk to two of the nicest people!  It never fails when they come in that we all get lost in conversation and exchanging recipes.  Btw Ryan... thanks for the pecan/pumpkin pie recipe!!  I didn't get to try it over the holidays but the next special occasion that rolls around calls for a pie!!  Here's the recipe for my ooey gooey bars and a couple photos of your super cute baby boy!

Ingredients

• 1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
• 2 eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 4 cups confectioners' sugar

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix cake mix, melted butter or margarine, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 eggs with a spoon. Pat into a 9 X 13 inch pan.
3. Mix cream cheese, 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla with an electric mixer. Slowly beat in confectioner's sugar. Pour over cake layer.
4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

 

Thanks for Another Great One!

As 2009 comes to a close we just wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of our clients.  We had an incredible year of making amazing memories!  We've seen babies grow, seniors graduate, lovebirds tie the knot and familes come together.  We get to be there for all the big moments in life and  we are soooo glad to have been blessed to be a part of it. There is just nothing better than our job!!!

We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and an amazing start to a new year!

Silver Image will be closed from Thursday, December 17th - Sunday January 3rd.  We will be back open for the new year starting January 4th.

The Day After it Snowed...

Getting married after the day it snowed in Houston is pretty significant.  Maybe no one will remember their exact wedding date but Jeff and Amy can always tell people... "yeah we got married the day after the 2009 Houston snow". 

Jeff and Amy had a beautiful wedding on December 5th at Ashelynn Manor in Magnolia, TX. Dark red roses and deep plum colored bridesmaid dresses set the scene for an elegant affair attended by a huge number of their friends and family.  Amy look stunning in her dress and Jeff actaully cleaned up pretty well in the tux.  (You looked handsome Jeff!)  To spite the cold, we got some great outside portraits of everyone that we wanted to share.  We hope that Jeff and Amy have a great time on their honeymoon and we can't wait for them to see the rest of the photos from the big day!!!

Garrett

We can't believe that Garrett is almost 7 months old already! He's changed so much since his first session with us!  What a cutie!!
